FTP FAILED TO RETRIEVE DIRECTORY LISTING. PLEASE HELP I AM ON BT INFINITY 2

Hi Friends

Please help crying out loud , i am having serious connection issues to my filezilla ftp server, it lets me login but then it says

failed to retrieve directory listing, i cantacted my server people and they tested it and said it is your router causing all this issue , sounds about right as i tried from 2 different laptops and my desktop also same issue contacted bt support as they said they refreshed the line and leave it for 48 hours before i can do port forwarding do you guys think it is the bt home hub 3.0 causing all these issues , if i change it to a different router will i get this problems sorted out, it was all working fine with good speeds of trasfer last 2 years with out any issues , from yesterday onwards i started getting this issue. Please help me friends how to sort this out.

Re: FTP FAILED TO RETRIEVE DIRECTORY LISTING. PLEASE HELP I AM ON BT INFINITY 2

I wonder if its the same issue as this?

https://community.bt.com/t5/Other-Broadband-Queries/New-firmware-kills-VPN/td-p/1196385

It may be affecting ftp remote listings.

If its a HH3A, check your firmware version, especially if its just stopped working.

Certainly be worth trying if you have a spare Netgear to hand or can borrow one.

If you are on Infinity with an Openreach modem, then there is a very wide choice of wireless routers you can use. Your Netgear one is ADSL only.

Re: FTP FAILED TO RETRIEVE DIRECTORY LISTING. PLEASE HELP I AM ON BT INFINITY 2

Look at the Infinity routers on this page.

http://forumhelp.dyndns.info/wireless/hh3replace.html

The TP-Link TL-WR1043ND is quite good, according to others who have it.

You could upgrade to a HH5 for free.
