I have just moved from Virgin Media 350 to the BT FTTP 900 service - it's a pure fibre connection.
I am connecting from the ONT to my Draytek Vigor 2860AC but can't get the right combination of settings. Has anyone there managed to crack this?
The username I have is the right one having checked with BT and also is what is showing on my Homehub.
Any help or advice appreciated.
Solved! Go to Solution.
The only settings you need are PPPoE username of email@example.com and password anything but BT is usual.
I suggest you factory reset the Draytek, if you didn't already do so, before setting it up.
Thanks - I reset the router, went through the set up wizard to ensure I can clean as a whistle and used those credentials and no connection unfort. All still red...
That router should be compatible I am sure. Any other ideas - I have tons of experience of other routers but not this one in particular.
Sorry, I have no experience of the Draytek, but shouldn't be any different to other routers. Is there a setting to select between modem/router mode and router only mode, perhaps it is defaulting to DSL input rather than WAN input.
No worries... Have tried so many settings now it's making me dizzy..

Any help from anyone appreciated 🙂
I have to say the settings look as though it is expecting a DSL signal but without having access to the GUI it is difficult to know. You somehow need to select WAN2 as the input rather than WAN1 I think.
I suspect WAN1 is the logical WAN port for the physical DSL port whereas WAN2 is the input from a modem (ONT).
Hadn't spotted that at all....... It now connects perfect..
Just few more steps to figure this out so it connects with my Mesh wifi system but it's connected.
