Fibre optic broadband in rural Norfolk

I know that our village is in the process of upgrading their exchange to fibre optics - however, in the meantime my broadband speeds have dropped to almost unworkable - I work from home and rely on the internet for my business.

Where can I find out if (a) my particular street will be included in the fibre optic upgrade and (b) if not, how to request that my street IS included.

Am seriously getting to the point of looking to move house so I can run my business more efficiently!!

Re: Fibre optic broadband in rural Norfolk

You could try other rural broadband solutions..http://www.ruralbroadband.co.uk/

We have the same problem. In spite of emailing BT numerous times to complain it seems there is no progress, no communication or no reduction in monthly.costs. Very frustrating.

Re: Fibre optic broadband in rural Norfolk

If you use this checker it will tell what cabinet you are on.

http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome

You can then email Openreach on nga.enquiries@openreach.co.uk giving them your cabinet number, exchange, telephone number and address and they should be able to reply with the up to date information. They can take a coupe of weeks to reply.
