Gaming - Port Forward help please

On the BT HH5 it says under advanced settings for Port Forwarding ‘port range’ and ‘translate to’ however the information i’m given is confusing.

Here is the info.

TCP: 1935,3478-3480
UDP: 3074,3478-3479
(Fortnite btw)
How can there be 3 sets of values? Which ones do I enter? Any help greatly appreciated

There can be as many ports as the game requires. You need to add them all, see http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8790/c/346 for instructions

Do i need to add 3 TCPs all 1935 but translated to 3478, 3479 and 3480?

No, you need to add TCP port 1935 translated to 1935, UDP port 3074 translated to 3074 and ports 3478, 3479,3480 for both TCP and UDP translated to the same ports. Its a list of ports that need to be opened. You select the range 3478 to 3480 for the 3

But what about the pre-done hypen under port range? Will it be 19-35 translated to 19-35?

So it should be as follows?

TCP
1935 to 1935
3478 to 3478
3479 to 3479
3480 to 3480
UDP
3074 to 3074
3478 to 3478
3479 to 3479

What will this actually do? The main reason i’m trying this is because my ping goes from 10-40 all the way to a range of 200-1000 as soon as my brother uses his apple TV. Thanks

1935 is a single port 3478  -  3480  is a range, just enter the start and finish ports. For 1935 start is 1935 finish is 1935, for the others start is 3478 finish is 3480.

If the game is working already without forwarding the ports (presumably by using UPnP), it will do nothing.

Ahhhh i see, thanks for the help. Would you recommend anything else so that my PS4 is priotised other than an ethernet cable? I just want a stable decent ping 😞

Nothing you can do with a Home Hub, you would need a third party router with QoS to prioritise traffic.
