If the last few months have shown us anything, it’s that the internet is vital. From video calls to online shopping, it has been a lifeline. But there are still 9 million people in the UK who can’t use the internet or a device without help, and the 4.7 million who don’t have any digital skills at all.
That’s why this year’s Get Online Week – running from 19-25 October – is more important than ever. The pandemic has meant that the internet is vital for everyday life and knowing how to use it is an essential skill.
