Well.. got myself a HG612 (unlocked) and as yet - no OpenRG calls! Still have the problem with the speed
right now I have a 70mb come 4pm it will be down 25-30mb and stops at that till 8am the next day...
Someone pointed me in downloading a HG612 Stats logging software which should help getting my point
across to BT support! - would you know what make is the HH5? I was also thinking how long will it be till
someone will unluck this unit?
If you modem has kept connection?
Would that point to something else on the network/exchange that is slowing speeds at peak times ?
They are good those unlocked modems.Having got used to seeing all the info, I don't know if I would move back to the HH5 even if BT get round to fixing its issues.
Hopfully Both soon 😉
The line has settled back down with the ECI version & is in "Fast" mode which I think is the best ?
Do like the look of the ease of use of the HG612 and would be good to see if there is indeed a difference between the two types of modem on a longer line like mine.
Bit confused after reading all the above posts, my home hub 3 was giving me a lots of problems in connecting to my filezila ftp, so i ordered a home hub 5 will i get problems with that as well ? When i receive the hub shall i have to connect the open reach modem that white box to home hub 5 , Can some one explain how to get the set up done on home hub 5 please.
I have just checked on my HH5 ports open are -
80,139,445 & 433
closed ports - 0 to 79, 81 to 138, 140 to 442, 444 & 446 to 65535
hope this helps?
