HH3 Shutdown

Go to solution

Can anyone please help.

After being connected to BTWIFI on my own hub for anywhere between 15 minutes and an hour the hub lights dim and then finally the hub shuts down completely and has to be re-booted.

This does not happen whilst connected under normal use.

I have only used 1100 minutes of the 10000 allowed on the fair usage policy.

Many thanks in anticipation.

That sounds like possibly a corrupted config file on the home hub. Try resetting it to factory default, and see if the problem still occurs.

Does it happen on every device that you connect to your hotspot?

Are you trying to stream data, or download any files using the hotspot, as that could overload the connection, and crash the home hub?

I only have the one laptop connected and no other devices to try.
It happens if it is kept on with no internet activity at all.

It normally times out if there is no activity.

When it disconnects, can you still connect to your main SSID?

No. It switches itself off completely. No lights at all. I have to press the power button off then back on again.

I would say that you have a faulty home hub, but its a pity you cannot try it on another device.

I wonder if anyone else who connects to your hotspot, will cause your hub to shut down, as that could be very annoying for you?
