Home Hub 3.0 shuts down completely and requires hard restart

Our Home Hub 3.0 has suddenly started shutting down at random times of the day, often overnight.

 

This is not the power save option which is identified by the power light turning orange. 

 

The symptom we're getting is that ALL the lights  - Power, Broadband, Wifi - are off.

 

If we turn off the power at the wall socket and turn it on again the Home Hub powers up and connects successfully and internet access is restored. But then later in the day the unit shuts off again.

 

Beginning to think we've got a defect hub.

 

Anyone had similar issues.

Sound like a faulty home hub, ring up for a replacement.
