Home Hub 6 - Shows 3 connection options

I have a BT Home Hub  6 and when I select the Wireless Connection Icon it shows 3 potential connections.  In my settings I have both the2.4 and 5 GHz (named - 5) but I cannot understand why the 2.4Ghz connection is repeated on my list and has a different connection strength to the other instance.  I am also surprised that my 5Ghz signal is so weak.

I would to have just one 2,4Ghz network and one 5Ghz one showing as my devices frequently attach to the weakest signal (often one of the 2.4 Ghz connections.

Any help would bem appreciated.

Thanks

Charles

Re: Home Hub 6 - Shows 3 connection options

is the 3rd wireless network not BTWIFI as against the other 2 which have your hub SSID?

It could be the wireless adapter in your device needs upgraded  try a wifi analyser and see what wireless networks are round about you and their strengths
