Home Hub 6 ethernet probs

Hi all,

I have the BT HH 6 and I have it connected via some Cat6 to a TP Link power line plug.  All was working well and those using the homeplugs around the house had no issue for a number of months.

Ethernet seems to have died on the router.  I'm seeing no leds lighting up on the ports and have changed cable, power line plug, rebooted the router, etc.

Do these routers have a known issue with ethernet dying on them?  Firmware issues?

Time for a new router/recon HH6 from BT?

Cheers.

Re: Home Hub 6 ethernet probs

Your best bet would be to buy a decent 3rd party VDSL modem router. They start in price at about £30 from the likes of Currys.

Meanwhile you could try ONE factory reset of the Homehub by pressing a pin into the recess button on the rear for about 20 seconds. This can often sort out problems.
