After lightning storms, my broadband was down for 6 days. BT told me there were no problems with the line and sent me a new hub as everything else worked. Anyway that didn't work, and it turns out there was a BT outage, and they were aware of it. A complaint was raised by BT helpdesk, and I was called back. To cut it short, I asked her to test the line as I was away working. She called me back and said all was ok, then she told me details of all the equipment I have attached on my intranet, including naming them as I had on my hub. My question is, is it normal for BT to be able to view the network nodes i've installed from their end? I thought they would be able to view their equipment up to the hub, but not my equipment past it.
