Home network problems

So I ran ethernet cables about 90 yards to another building on the property so I can plug in my pc. On the other jack I ran out there I was wondering about the BT wifi disc. Normally if I have the wifi disc running out that far the signal is terribly weak(about 5mbps). Is it possible to plug the wifi disc in to my other hard wired jack to have a better signal that far away from the main wifi modem/router? Do the discs work that way? Is there some product I can get that would do that? TIA.

You should be able to do that.

Re: Home network problems

Thanks for the quick response! I forgot to mention that the 2 cables I ran to the other building go from the BT modem/router ->Ubiquiti Unifi switch -> the other building rj45 jacks. Will that affect the wifi discs at all? The disc was already linked directly  to the BT router. Is it essentially just doing the same thing? I guess I am wondering is  will the switch affect the link between the BT disc and BT router? TIA.
