HomeHub 5 wifi 5ghz issue

Im having issues with my homehub 5 where on 5ghz it will occasionally hang, i have tried resetting the device no joy, this is happening on a HP Envy Laptop and Samsung S5 and Macbook Air.

On the 2.4 ghz wifi it is ok, i have now change the setting to put the 5ghz as a different name so it shows as two different wifi names.


When i turned off only the 5ghz but left on 2.4 ghz wifi i get the orange wifi light on on the box anyone know why?

If you turn off either or both of the wireless frequencies the orange light will come on.

Make sure that you have turned off "Smart Set Up" on the Homehub. See link how to do that.

When you gave the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequencies different SSids. Did you check the 5 GHz Sync with 2.4 GHz: is set to NO.
