How do I fix the high pings on my internet? Impossible to use for gaming

I recently changed over from Virgin to BT and although the internet in general is more stable, while trying to use it for online gaming it is literally impossible. It appears very laggy which from research is down to latency.

I did some ping tests from my laptop and the results are quite odd. I am by no means an expert but I think that the response rate is pretty high.

Can anyone offer an solutions as to how to fix this as it is completely unusable for any form of gaming...

Hi @noblegoose, welcome to the forum and, sorry that you are having a problem with high ping.

Would you try connecting your gaming device directly to the Hub via ethernet ensuring not to use any powerline adapters or ethernet switches and see if you are experiencing the high pings. Run a Pingplotter and post the results.

Also if you're using a third-party router please can you ensure you are using the BT Hub.
