How many wifi connections can be supported by the BT Home Hub at any one time? We use a number of laptops, mobile phones, Alexa, Smart Plugs, etc, and do not seem to be able to have them all operating on wifi at the same time. Is there a definite limit?
It should in theory support up to 250 devices but for practical reasons it would be more like 50 devices without problem.
Thanks for your speedy reply. We do not have as many as 50 devices in use, more like 15.
Assuming you have Fibre broadband, personally I would not use a BT Homehub. I would buy a third party VDSL Modem/router. They start in price about £35.
Having said that if you are using a Homethub make sure you turn off "smart setup" on the Homehub.
See link how to do that.
Some devices have a problem with the Homehub dual band having the same SSid (name). You should try splitting them.
