How to setup TP Link Archer VR2800 Modem Router (Says BT compatible but no Internet connection)

I connected the new modem router but there is no Internet connection. I have spoken to TP Link support and they said I need my PPPoE username and password and VLAN ID number from BT and they will help to get this new Archer VR2800 Modem Router. Anyone know how to get this from BT or is it available somewhere on this website?  THANKS

Thanks for this. That looks very useful. How do I get to this screen?

I can log into the WiFi.

Then it asks me to set a new password.

But because there is no internet connection it hangs.

Same with the app

Re: How to setup TP Link Archer VR2800 Modem Router (Says BT compatible but no Internet connection)

You should not need an internet connection to enter router admin but better with ethernet connection. The router wants you to set a new admin password not WiFi. Once set you should be able make the changes shown in @TheRealBudski post

Still Struggling to connect. TP support said I need my PPoE username and password and VLAN ID number from BT and they will connect me. Is that right?

the VLAN is 101

username  bthomehub@btbroadband.com

password can be anything often just BT is used

there is no specific username or password - same for all BT residential customers
