Hi.
Can anyone help with the settings i need for IPv6 on my router.
For LAN IPv6 - SLAAC/Stateless DHCP, it is asking for a prefix address, i cant get the IPv6 working on my Xbox One X through the TP-Link.
I assume you are using a separate modem in front of it, as the AC5400 is only a wireless router?
The home hub cannot be used as just a modem.
There is a thread which may be of interest https://community.bt.com/t5/Home-setup-Wi-Fi-network/IPv6-Global-Address-on-BT-Home-Hub-5/td-p/17636...
It discusses the prefix.
Hi.
Read through that and a lot didnt make sense to me as a novice but i made some changes in my router but it still doesnt get an IPv6 address, pic below, any suggestions please...
I think you may have to wait for a forum member who knows more about BTs implementation of IPv6.
A few things.
First of all make sure you have the latest version of firmware.
Second change the setting to SLAAC rather than DHCP
Third, your device may not support BT's /56PD implementation of IPv6, my TD-W9980 didn't.
Hi.
Changed to SLAAC (no diff), and it does have the latest firmware, i only installed it brand new on Friday last after checking it had the latest firmware (as does the Vigor 130)
I have online chatted with TP-Link support and they assure me it supports BT IPv6, just cant seem to get it to work, must be something within the settings, just cant sort it.

Did they not tell you what settings they thought should work?
