I've got a new line and broadband from BT, before I placed order I was told that IPv6 is provided automatically with every new broadband.
After line installation I couldn't get IPv6 address so had to call number of times help desk / support team as well as "BT Tech Expert team" , but some do not even know what IPv6 is, and the experts can't check if I am provided with IPv6 address/service or not. BT should have two emails from me with question regarding this problem, but so far no answer.
Any idea where I could check it or who I can contact?
so BT provided wrong/misleading information regarding services which they provide? Surprisingly at the help desk as well as the BT Tech Expert Team told me that it should work and if there is an issue it would be probably with my router...
So they simply don't know???
I think the sentence "In BT, we are preparing for the transition to IPv6." (from http://ipv6.bt.com/Default.aspx) pretty much sums up BT's current position.
They are still planning IPv6 support.
They are now running so short of IPv4 addresses that they are quietly switching some customers to Carrier Grade NAT. http://btsupport.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/44044/c/6433
