Improve external WiFi reception

Not long had bt and havethe smart hub 2.  I need to improve WiFi reception outside the housework wireless security camera.   What is the best option.

Would a bt wifi disc near a window increase the WiFi reception outside of the property

I have a Complete WiFi disc in my upper rear window to provide WiFi to my garage at the bottom of my garden (30m away). It works really well. My car connects to my home WiFi to keep its software up to date.
