Re: Introducing Complete Wi-Fi from BT

+ adding to the reply to Stew

If you've benefited form the full guarantee:

Smart Hub 2

3x Wi-Fi Discs

Video Call / Engineers

£20

If you've not got wi-fi around your home (... as per last post!  so far this hasn't been the case) - you can stay on the Complete Wi-Fi bundle benefitting from the additional service / wi-fi coverage support and 3x Wi-Fi discs.  Or, you can move back to your prevoius plan and send back the Wi-Fi discs (we wouldnt want this to be the case - we want everyone in the UK to have awesome wi-fi!)

Re: Introducing Complete Wi-Fi from BT

Hi Stew

Re: rented  - I get why you may use that term - but, we're offering so much more than kit.

We'll get Wi-Fi to every room - and that's what we're offering as service and is our commitment to our customers - App, Advisor Wi-Fi help & diagnostics, Video Call support and Engineers - that's why it's a service not rented.  I get it's a small point.

We'll probably have to agree to dissagree 😉 but, personally I'm really passionate about the extra personal service we're providing and it's a key part of what we're offering.

I accept and admire your passion for the service and I am sure it will be well received by some customers.

Re: Introducing Complete Wi-Fi from BT

Is there any additional info on the Smart Hub 2? The sales blurb says:

"It's our smartest hub yet and is future-proofed to deliver fast speeds throughout the home."

How is it the smartest hub yet? What makes it future proofed?

Re: Introducing Complete Wi-Fi from BT

Hi stereohaven

There's some info online about the Smart Hub 2 here - https://www.productsandservices.bt.com/broadband/smart-hub/?s_cid=con_FURL_smarthub

The big differences are:

1) It works with Complete Wi-Fi - to get wi-fi in every room guaranteed

2) It works with every broadband techonlogy - ADSL / VDSL / G.Fast / FTTP - removing the techieness.  It works with Broadband / Fibre & all Ultrafast tech.

3) It's also got some new voice tech in it / Dect - one for the future

4) you can use the MyBT app to optimise your home Wi-Fi setup, see what kits online and make some tweaks

5) It continues to deliver a more powerful wi-fi signal than any other provider in the UK - this also helps with Compelte Wi-Fi as it means you can locate your first Wi-Fi disc further away from the hub getting wi-fi to even more places.

As it comes with  BT Broadband - you can use your BT Wi-Fi hotspot at home for your guests to get online.

Hmm, how does that work for guests that don't have a BT account?

Re: Introducing Complete Wi-Fi from BT

It's something I do @ home - I'll log them into the BT Wi-Fi network if needed - without saving details on their kit!

Re: Introducing Complete Wi-Fi from BT

Much simpler with a proper guest network.
