I received this this morning, but when I clicked on the link I got a phishing site warning from my Chrome browser and some weird url it would go to if I carried on.
Just like to know if it is a genuine BT communication if not, warn others, but if it is then there is something wrong with the link.
A fake I would imagine, there are loads of them around at the moment, trying to get personal details from people.
I did that earlier when I first got it but now I just went to check and I've got the "experiencing problems please try later etc" message again! but it was from someone called Julie and a number @btinternet.com which was why I questioned it.
But I guess it is false.
Sounds like a phishing email. You could report it to BT at this link
If you don't want to do that do not click on any links and delete it.
See this link for the email addresses that BT use.
Get one every day. Yes its a rip-off email and can infect your system[as advised by my protection service] I still get porno emails they are now using the shorter form url to stop being located. But my other email service doesnt allow it through its server. I hope CP do the same although not fully on BT mail my email client goes through CP so---??? As a matter of interest be very careful on download websites for free downloads .Many major names [download companies} are infected just by entering the website. My protection service stopped 5 trojans from one site. But I found a good website for free downloads [over 100] that has no viruses.
There is now a new one from ""BT""[not] looks official well done telling me as of today ="the old Bt yahoo site is closing down so please click on link to join new one. If this was from yahoo they would have said =joining yahoo not BT yahoo as that will be defunct soon.
