Issue making Whatsapp voice calls

We have a Smart Hub 2 and an iPhone 11.

When making a voice call over WhatsApp, we have noticed that the call is frequently interrupted and needs to frequently "reconnect".

This never used to happen - and if we switch the iPhone to mobile data the VoIP calls are fine - even though the WiFi strength is not an issue.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

The only change I can think of recently is that the SH2 upgraded to v0.21.03.07094-BT in early September..

I have been having the very same issue with WhatsApp audio and video calls for the past few months.  Because this does not happen with every whatsapp call, and because my BT Whole Home Wifi signal is always excellent,  I assumed it was a whatsapp problem, or an issue with the other person's wifi.  But now, especially because switching off wifi and going to data instead, invariably solves the problem during such a call, I'm thinking it is an issue with my Whole Home Wifi.

Note: iPhone XR ios 14.2, BT fibre 2, BT Whole Home Wifi, smart hub
