Personally I would make a new thread here with PingPlotter screenshots showing the ping issues on the BT network.
BT are looking into the issue now as it's been brought up with by ISP Review ( here ).
Also little update, I sorted out the Netflix not loading issue... it seems like ti was IPv6 causing issues with the site loading at certain times, IPv6 is now disabled and i've got no issues with Netflix loading. Link between Netflix not loading and good ping proved coincidense.

Okay so as requested, a few screenshots here to help narrow down any other issues (if any) to start ruling stuff out such as weather / copper issues on the line.
Zero Load Ping Tests
Nothing much to see here really, we have flat graphs in Ping Logger however you can see in PingPlotter there are "spikes" althrough not as high as when under load. Highest spike seen is ~40ms and variation is still a little high at ~7ms from ~19ms to ~26ms
Also notice the packet loss at node 3 is still there, even when at zero load.
Stream Load Ping Tests
PingLogger and Ping Plotter praphs / trace routes showing the mught higher spikes when around 1MB/s load is put on the connection. Spiking up into the 80ms range with one stream running on the network.
STEAM Download Ping Tests
So looking into it a bit more, there does seem to be some spikes even when STEAM is downloading, in this case capped at 1MB/s to keep the tests as fair as possible with what a single 1080p 60fps Twitch Stream would use. The spikes do seem a lot less erratic though. Ping Logger showing the spikes in nearly 20 second intervals constantly and at almost the same variation in ping each time.
One last thing to add, when Iw as on the phone to the MOD dealing with my case, I thought I could hear crackling on the line (possibly could ahve been microphone popping on the phone) so I did a Quiet Line test for a few mins after and not a single crackle was observed.
I did the test above because the weather is absolutly miserable here, raining constantly and a nice amount of wind to go with it so wanted to make make sure it was microphone popping and not line noise sue to weather.
I just want to say, thank you for everything you are doing here. I have had this issue for months, so you looking into these issues and getting BT to finally pay attention is really helpful.
Anyone knows if this issue is also within other ISP owned by BT ? I'm talking EE and Plusnet.
the article on isp-review states that the issue is resolved when switching to a different provider which still makes use of openreach, so its purely something on BT's end.
Here is a pingplotter screenshot with only one other person in the household streaming 1080p netflix.
I mean we'd have to see actual results from other ISPs, with now the only ISP we've seen results from is Sky. I'd love to see some results from people on EE and PlusNet to see if there are any similarities in this issue.
To be fair the MOD im in contact with is working so hard with me on this to try and get it resolved. We're trying to figure out literaly anything that could be causing it from Local Copper condition to possible core network issues etc...
Will always keep this updated when / if I know more.
Also be careful when using the word "Streaming" and Netflix because they're kinda not the same thing. It's mor elike watching a YouTube video since the data is buffered and not constantly streamed at a high bitrate when live like Twitch.
Connection load could be the key here, but then again it might not be, still trying to figure it out 😄
