Latency issue or not?

Last few weeks i have noticed webpages taking a while to open but its intermittent

I did a speedtest with an online web server and 1186ms no wonder but then tried later and 50ms I tried to do it via BT but as i use a VR900 router as soon as i clicked non bt i can't get any further.

This does not persist however as ive done a ping test just now and get the results below, could it be my router, should i put the BT router back in?

Re: Latency issue or not?

It's not your router, I've been having simialr issues where my ping spike everyday for the past two months even when the network is idle. I've been trying to fix for the past few weeks and no luck so far, I even esclated to issue to a BT specialist team and got told I'm going to be put on fast path and to wait 10 days, and so far it's been 5 days and still it happens.

I made countless posts here and no one even cared to fix my issue, or at least give me an idea on why my ping pikes to 400+ during the day randomly. I'm waiting for the full 10 days to finish and then switch to another ISP that is not related to BT " Plusnet and EE in the avoid list"

Re: Latency issue or not?

Thanks for that, please post your results, if you get any from BT.

Im in a 18 months contract at the moment and almost 1 year away from renewal so can't move myself without a big cost.

BT has been pretty good up till recently so not sure what changes had been made but tongue in cheek maybe its all been happening since i started getting offers of upgrade.

Re: Latency issue or not?

Your ping seems fine from what ping results you posted. You'll need to do a long, more in depth ping via Ping Plotter and a graph from PingLogger if you'd want to confirm whether it's the same issue as others are facing.
