Everytime i login to ebay or any service i always get email saying a new device has logged in. It always says logged in from another town i live nowhere near it could be middlesborough or london etc. I've recently got a new laptop but i had same problem with old one.and i've had this problem for years. It would appear that this is not a BT issue.

You must have the security setting 2 factor authentication set up for each of the sites that are informing you that there is a new log on.

The location of the log on is where the IP address is reporting it has happened. Using that method for the location is notoriously inaccurate so I would not worry about the location.

What you should worry about is if it was not you who logged on.

If it was you that logged on just ignore the location.

If you no longer want to be bothered with being informed then you should log onto the sites and in your preferences you may be able to turn two factor authentication off although I would recommend against doing that as in the event that your accounts were hacked you would be oblivious until it was too late.

If you do an Internet search for " 2 factor authentication" for each of the sites that notify you you should be able to find how to turn it off if you feel you have to.

The other thing you may need to do is turn off MAC randomisation in the WiFi Advanced settings!

I only learn by making mistakes and owning up to them - boy do I learn a lot!
