Moving Home

Hi,

I am moving home.

Can I just unplug my BT Internet (modem) and plug it in at my new house providing there is a BT ethernet connection already there?

I am posting on here as I have just been waiting 30 mins on the phone to BT and there was no answer & I can't find a contact email address 😞

Please help, The moving date is Wednesday. I am sorting this out on some else's behalf. Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards

Gonzo

Re: Moving Home

Your services will need moved to the new address, you can't just plug in a hub and it works, the previous occupants will terminate their service to avoid being billed for it, your old service also needs stopped for the same reason.

You can do a home move order online, start Here and follow the prompts.

Re: Moving Home

It would be normal to contact BT well in advance of any home move and arrange the date for the change over to take place. I doubt that you will be able to get the service up and running by Wednesday.
