My extender is connecting to an old network and not the current one

Hi,

I have a Wi-Fi extender that used to be connected to our old Wireless Network. We had a new network added about a year ago or so because the old one didn't work any more - so new BT Hub etc, and of course a different network/key/password. However when I try to connect to the extender (which I haven't done since the new network was added - needed now as we're working from home of course), it only brings up the old BT network, and so needs the password/key for that, that I don't have any more.

I have reset to Factory settings and yet it still doesn't bring up the new network to connect to and extend. Any idea how I can deal with this please?

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me!

Re: My extender is connecting to an old network and not the current one

check out http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/EX6100/EX6100_UM_27Oct2015.pdf
To restore factory settings:
1. Insert a paper clip into the Factory Reset
hole and hold it until the Power LED blinks
amber.
2. Release the button.
All the LEDs turn off for about 3 seconds.
The Power LED lights solid amber for about
30 seconds.
The Power LED lights solid green.
The extender returns to its factory settings.
When you plug in the extender, it detects the
position of its Access Point/Extender switch.

Then re install but its not a HUB problem ,, and not for this forum

Re: My extender is connecting to an old network and not the current one

Thank you - I'd already done that and sadly it still brought up the same networks.

Sorry for pasting in the wrong forum. If you're not techy (which I'm not, clearly ) then a lot of the language on here doesn't make sense, and of all the forum options I thought this was the one that fitted the issue I thought I was having. I'll try and get help from somewhere else if I'm causing issues.

Connect to the extenders WiFi and enter www.mywifiext.net this should give you access to the web page to manually set up the SSID and password see page 12 of the guide
