My new phone says authorisation failed even though I have a BT hub6 which works on my computer ,TV

I have a new phone but when I try to get bthub6 on it , it says authorisation failed. However I can get it on my computer,tablet and TV. I cannot understand what I am doing wrong. Can anyone advise me best solution as I am running out of patience and might just dump the phone. It's a Nuu phone and it's on giffgaff. Thank you.

@Michael57 can you try turning off smart set up in the hub? Some devices don't like it and need to be connected manually.
