Joined BT yesterday. But they have given me an email address ending in @btinternet.com.   I thought this was for old users???

However, internet is fine but setting up my email from Outlook 2007 is a nightmare.  I can receive emails but not send them. I keep being asked for a password-heaven only knows which one it wants. I have tried everything under the sun but it still doesn't work.

Any help will be appreciated.

The password wil be the one BT gave you when BT gave you the email address. It will probably be on some of the paper work they sent you. Once you have it you can log onto your account to make sure it works then if you wish to change it use this link.
