Netgear Nighthawk X6 AC 3200 tri-band WiFi Router in place of BT home Hub 5 type A

Hi I have just purchased the above Netgear product, and followed the netgear auto setup process but it will not connect to the internet, had to reconnec

Because its only a wireless router without any modem. If you have ADSL or VDSL you need a combined modem/router unless you already have a separate white openreach modem.

If you do not have a modem, then I suggest you exchange it for a different model which has a DSL input.

Then it should work provided you have entered the correct PPPoE login details.

You can use a user name of broadbanduser@btbroadband.com and a password of bt

MTU Size: no 1492
