New Smart Hub will not connect to vodafone v3 sure signal device

Hi,

My new Smart Hub will not connect to vodafone v3 sure signal device.

I've tried to open the connection using portforwarding but it will not allow me to open the port.

Is there a way of opening this connection?

There should be no port forwarding requirement as the Sure Signal makes an outgoing UDP connection, which is allowed as part of the default firewall policy in the Hub.

 

Is the Sure Signal connected to the Hub OK and from the Hub GUI can you see it as a connected device on the Ethernet port that it's connected to? Also have you successfully registered the Sure Signal on the Vodafone website?

My experience in this field is that every problem begins from something that 'should' work but invariably doesn't.

 

Yes, yes and yes.

 

Tried the switching smart set-up off route but it does not allow the green tick to come on with a new rule.
