Re: New firmware kills VPN

WOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!

Got a call from BT to say they had a fix and I was going to get a firmware update....

It arrived, and VPN works again! Connected for 10 minutes now without a hitch.

Hang fire on the complaints... all is not lost... help is on its way!!!!

Thanks to all involved in getting this sorted!

Re: New firmware kills VPN

Ditto - had an email from BT support saying that a fix would be pushed out to my home hub tonight. However, I think they pushed it out around 4pm and my VPN connection is now working again!!!!

Well done everybody in this thread for complaining and getting BT to fix the problem.

Re: New firmware kills VPN

Hi everyone,

Many thanks for your patience with regards to this matter whilst we have been investigating further.

If you are experiencing this issue, flag on this thread and a mod will be in touch. When you have been contacted by a mod they will need the phone number that your broadband is on and your hub serial number (have a look on the sticker on the base of your hub, something like +058720+1116085830) and we'll apply a work around to your hub over night.

Please note this will result in any user config being lost , so any port forwarding settings or changed SSID’s and Wi-Fi passwords, so you will need to change your settings after the update.

All the best,

Robbie

Re: New firmware kills VPN

Hi RobbieMac,

I think this problem may be at the root of my Vodafone Suresignal having stopped working, which I've been battling with for the past week - I'd be grateful to the update.

Many thanks...

Re: New firmware kills VPN

Will there be a general push out within the next few days? I for one can wait that long as it will not affect me until Tuesday.

Re: New firmware kills VPN

Could I get the update pushed out too please. I'm unable to connect to Xbox or PSN since the Firmware update.

Thanks
