OpenReach Master Socket 5C

Go to solution

BT have recently provided me with a new landline/broadband connection to my new build home.  In this, the OpenReach Engineer fitted an OpenReach Master Socket 5C Mk 2 - it was all that he had left in his truck.

I want to fit a Mk 4 faceplate with ADSL inbuilt filter.

Will a MK 4 faceplace fit to my existing MK 2 base, or will I have to start from scratch

and purchase a MK4 faceplate c/w dedicated base?

@Dieroff

Just unclip the front, and clip in the replacement MK4 faceplate. You will probably have to buy both parts, but just use the faceplate.

Thank you very much for your kind response.

I was hoping that it was as simple as you advise.

That is the way it was designed, to make things simple. The only drawback is if the retaining clips break, so be careful.
