If there is no dial tone at the test socket, then there is an external fault.
You need to report this as no dial tone, and not a broadband fault, otherwise it will take much longer to fix.
Once the phone line is fixed, the broadband will return
You will be reminded that ther would be a charge, if the fault is within your wiring.
When we lost the phone (internet still worked) it was due to someone working at the cab haveing knocked one of the wires loose but because we have vdsl the internet was fine.
