Got a 5Ghz lan card in a brand new computer and connected to the 5Ghz network
Sync speed is 75mb down and 20mb up
I used to get about 70/20 on speed tests on my old computer, however on my new PC im only getting 35 down and 3 up
Signal strength is excellent
If I hard wire I do get about 70/20

If you haven't already done it, make sure you turn off "smart setup" on the Homehub.
See link how to do that.
You should also make sure that your card's drivers are the most up to date via the card manufacturer's web site rather than using Windows drivers.
Can't get any drivers to work on Linux, it did come with a CD but i've no CD drive.
I am now trying wired and getting 67/18. My sync speed is 74/20 so shouldn't i theoretically be getting full speed wired ?
If the Network Card came with CD and there are Linux drivers on that you should be able to get them as a download from the card manufacturer.
If not you can get get portable CD drives for about £10 but you may have a driver problem with them due to using Linux.
Ok i already have the drivers on my linux machine.
I heard it is something to do with the full duplex settings ?
Another question, if im hard wired why am i not getting the full speeds ?
