Hi,
I have tried to open a port in the router, however it is showing the following in the log:
15:13:36, 11 Feb.
:This Rule has been applied successfully: [id:152, InternalClient: 192.168.1.65, External Ports:(5000,5000), Internal Ports: (0,0), Protocol: TCP/UDP]

I have read some other threads that suggest turning uPNP off and trying again but I am having no luck.

Hi @DBE
Thanks for posting can I ask what service are you trying to use on port 5000? And does it need TCP and UDP?
Port 5000 TCP is actually the port UPnP uses, so that would be why you’ve been advised that turning upnp off might help.
Quite often rules close because there’s no active connection through that port.
Thanks

Hi @StuartH
We use port 5000 as our SQL server port, rather than the obvious 1433.
We have also tried to open 1433 and had the same results in the logs.
The strange thing, is we have tried this at a different site with the same router model and had no issues.
Thanks
DBE
@DBE Thanks for answering those questions, are you a BT Business broadband customer?
@DBE You'd be best raising this on the BT Business community as we're only able to assist residential customers here.
