Port forwarding .

Go to solution

Hi, can anyone help me please.

I am trying to open ports 25,000 and port 443 on my home hub 5 and it’s asking me for a game or device name and I am unsure of what to put in the box.  I have to go to advanced or additional settings page.

I am trying to connect my wireless alarm system.

I have tried to use the system Id

i have tried to use the name pyronix

I have tried to use Home Control+ (App name)

None of them have worked.

also it asks for protocol? port range and translate to - I used 25000 in all 4 boxes on one line - clicked apply

then 443 in all 4 boxes on second line and clicked apply

but none of it worked.

Has anyone got any ideas I can try please

Thank you.

See http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8790/~/how-do-i-set-up-port-forwarding-on-my-bt-hub%3...

You need to first of all create 2 new 'games', it doesn't matter what you call them, its just a label. Then allocate the ports you need to the device after you have created the new 'games'. Select 'any' for protocol and the same port number in all 4 boxes for each of the rules. Give your device a static IP address on the device itself if you can, or use address reservation on the hub if not.
