Potentially Blocked site

Go to solution

Can someone try the site guitar.com I am getting a BT webpage coming up that suggests it does not exist but it works from my o2 service on my phone.

I've tried clearing cookies etc. on chrome and i've tried a number of other brothers inclsuding opera etc. It seems to occur the same from all our laptops connected to our hh5 via deco M5 systems.

The Bt Site I get is

http://www.webaddresshelp.bt.com/main?ParticipantID=mg76cjr54t8kx45jjw4j4k9j5hsr5m26&FailedURI=http%...

I am also getting the barefruit failure.

Seems to be a DNS error, perhaps for some users ...

The site is coming up fine for me @unwina.

@Andy_N  do you also have BT Web Address Help active?

Does it make any difference clicking on this: https://guitar.com/

Thanks

I do have it active, and did try the https version - but that simply timed out. If I do a DNS check on guitar.com, I get back 92.242.132.15 (barefruit).

Re: Potentially Blocked site

Thanks for confirming that @unwina and @Andy_N.

I'll reach out to a few people to make them aware. If it can be safelisted/recognised, on BT Web Protect, it may take until the start of next week before I get an update. As soon as I get anything, I will let you all know here.

Thanks

DanielS

Hi @unwina   I just tried it on my iPad (Safari) and works fine (SH2). I take it you have tried a Hub reboot to refresh the DNS.

Re: Potentially Blocked site

Did we get anywhere with this i still cannot see this site on any of my devices unless i use my toy (phone) access via o2 mobile connection. Not really viable option though. I'm not using web protect as far as i know.
