Purple flashing light on new activation

Hi all,

 

I had my BT Infinity 1 activated yesterday, and the connection was fine from 2pm until 11pm when I went to bed.

 

I woke up this morning and the HUB is flashing purple and I have no connection.

 

I've tried numerous fixes that I've found on here and have run through diagnostics on the phone.  I now have an engineer coming on Monday to look, but I've already been waiting 2.5 weeks for the activation (even though the previous owner had BT broadband).

 

I work from home so this is really inconvenient and I've hit my data limit through tethering my mobile data.

 

Any other thoughts?  I'm trying to get hold of another modem or a third party one to check whether the hub is faulty but everything was fine last night and somethings happened overnight.

 

I've moved to BT from Virgin Media and I've really starting to regret my decision.

Hi @emtoucan and welcome.

 

I'm sorry you're having problems so soon after ordering. The purple light confirms no Internet connection which would require an engineer visit. Have you checked the service status page for issues in your area?
