I don't believe there is an option to disable on the Home Hub 6.

Thanks guys. Using a static IP as described above solved my problem of the iPad not connecting to the internet with HH6.

Unfortunately, had to go back to manual IP settings today to get a wireless connection, even with IPV6 unchecked, as the default gateway had 'disappeared'.

@dnp Are you able to post the version of Windows you're running (type winver from the command line), and also the version of firmware on the Home Hub 6?

Regards

Hub version SG4B100021EC

Using Win 10 1607 build 14393.105

I see now that although I am getting internet access, I am not properly connecting to the network and cannot 'see' other computers or network printers, just  media devices and my NAS drives

I have gone back to manual IPV4 settings, IPV6 disabled and everythign working as it should. Apart from one machine on the network still using DHCP with no problems (this one does not yet have the Win 10 anniversary update).
