If that dosen't work can you post back with more details of the problem and what error message or issues you are experiencing as this will help the community give advice.
I have switched off smart button in hub still will not set up to sony smart tv
I assume you are trying to connect it via wireless. Have you entered the correct wireless key, as shown on the card that came with the home hub?
How far away is the TV, have you tried connecting it with an Ethernet cable instead, to see if it works?
yes thats also been tried without sucess,it would seem the sony have a glitch !!!
If it will not connect via wireless or Ethernet, then one thing that normally helps, is to manually configure the network settings on the TV, and give it a static IP address.
You should be able to find that option on the TV menu.
Try the following manual network settings.
IP address 192.168.1.50
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.254
DNS Server 192.168.1.254
I will try that ,I did get ip address and subnetmask,but i couldn,t get any further,tv man as no idea what the problem is but sony must!!!
Manually setting the network parameters, should fix the issue, as some TVs have a problem with the home hubs DHCP server, and will get an IP address, but no default gateway or DNS server addresses, so you get no Internet access.
