thanks for the idea! I downloaded firefox and getting same issue on this one page only!!!!!!
the connection was reset
Ive tried a reset and a new router which made no difference whatsoever!!
It could just be another Hub 6 oddity. I have no trouble accessing any router I connect to a Win 10 PC. Hubs 1, 3 and 5 nor any issues with other makes.
It may be worthwhile investing in a good third party VDSL capable modem/router.
EG: Billion, Asus, Fritzbox or TP-Link. Once you did this all the problems will go away.
thanks for yr advice! whats strange is it worked for about 10 mths until just before christmas! in all my 20 years on the net I've never been unable to access the router admin page before!
Just bought a Smart hub and after it updated its firmware I could no longer access the Home page at 192.168.1.254 via an ethernet port. However using a wireless device it was accessable at this address.
I found that if you change the Hubs administration address via a wireless device to say 192.168.1.40 you can then access the Home page via the ethernet port using the new address.
Very strange looks like a software bug ?
I finally found out what the problem was, it turns out that my Kaspersky firewall/software was stopping access to 192.168.1.254
The strange thing was disabling Kaspersky made no difference, it required Kaspersky to be uninstalled and then re-installed and it all works 🙂 I can now access the admin page at 192.168.1.254
Looks like a maybe stange bug in Kaspersky software that happened after the Smart hub updated its firmware ??????
My current problem is geting Chromecast audio devices to work as a group with a Smart hub, I had a fully working home network and I am getting bored with the time I have spent with the Smart hub.
