Re-locate home hub away from master socket.

Hello.

Late last year I moved house, BT 5c master socket in the most inconvenient place

My HH5 is plugged into that master adsl port.

Is it possible for me to run a new cable to a new slave telephone socket in a more convenient place in the house to re-locate my router?

How would I plug the router into the socket as the slave (I assume) wouldn’t have an adsl socket. Do I need an old school micro-filter to plug the hub into that?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Re-locate home hub away from master socket.

You just need to run a cw1308 cable from the data extension terminals of the nte5c to an RJ11 socket. Only 2 wires are needed. If you need telephony as well as the hub at the extension, fit an extension phone socket instead of RJ11 and use a filter.
