Hi I have fibre to house now for a couple of years and recently upgraded to the 900 package. Not sure if coincidence but my Sky Q box has recently been disconnecting from the WiFi and I have to reconnect etc. Went through a whole reset procedure with Sky virtual engineer this morning and he was happy that everything was OK and the mesh was solid. He indicated that if it continued to happen to consult with BT about router settings. Needless to say a couple of hours later it disconnected. I've had a look at the advanced settings on the router and all appears to be OK, although admit not sure what setting might be "off" to cause an issue. I reconnected the Sky Q and mini and after one fall start with the message failed to acquire IP, the mini eventually reconnected. Before I go back to Sky can anyone shed any light on the router settings I can check. I certainly do not want to have too keep rebooting the router or doing an IPv4 restore just for the sake of it.
go to hub manager then wireless and change the 5ghz wireless channel from probably 36 to say 44 or 48. SKY Q uses channel 36 and this can cause problems with wifi
Thanks, that's a start.
