SFTP access to my home PC whilst away from home

HI All,

I am currently working away from home and I've set up a SFTP server on my home pc so if needs be I can upload and download files. I  can access the server fine over my lan connection in my HH6 however when I try and connect over the internet I get no connection. I have enabled ports 20,21 and 22 on both IPv4 and IPv6 firewalls. Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

Have you forwarded the ports to the relevant LAN IP address? Are you trying to connect from within your LAN to your public IP address, if so that won't work as the hubs don't support NAT loopback?

Re: SFTP access to my home PC whilst away from home

Hi,

I have forwarded ports 20,21 and 22 in IPv4 and v6 to the local address of my PC. I can connect when I'm on my home wifi(lan) however when I disconnect from the Wifi and switch over to 4g mobile data as a test using my v4 public IP I get no connection. My v6 is still set to both Stateful and Stateless addressing.

Thank you

Hmm, you could try turning off UPnP that sometimes interferes with port forwarding rules.
