Seagate Backup Plus Hub

Hi all - hoping someone can help, and also hoping I haven't bought the wrong thing!

I have purchased a Seagate Backup Plus Hub, and connected it by USB to my BT Hub Router.

It doesn't show up on my network - however, if I go into my router settings, I can see it connected to the USB - but can't seem to do anything else with it, other than change the icon.

I was hoping I could use this as a shared external drive (map it to a z drive or similar).

I have searched similar posts, and it seems people have had some success - but I am not sure how to do this, and haven't been able to follow the posts.

Would appreciate any help 🙂

Thanks all!

Re: Seagate Backup Plus Hub

If you are using W10, you need to enable SMB1 as it is disabled by default.

Once enabled, you can map the drive to \\192.168.1.254\usb1
