Serial Number Unrecognised

I wanted to access my hub settings via the Hub Manager, where I came across the fact that I had to change my password due to security changes. In order to do so I have to write in my serial number; basically it isn't recognising it. It says...

"The serial number you have entered has not been recognised. Please check you have entered the correct information from the location on the diagram and re-enter the new password."

I have got the serial number from the correct location - next to S/N - and I wrote it in. I have done this continuously and it's starting to get on my nerves how it is not being recognised, my internet is on and working (hence writing this). I needed to go on to change a few settings so that one of my games would work with it.

I'd like to know if anyone can help me at all???

I know the common issue of people usually putting 0 instead of O but I have checked, and tried it in every way possible so it's definitely not me putting the serial number in wrongly.
