A few months ago I converted to full fibre broadband and let my landline go.
I've been happy with it so far but I've just started to investigate ipv6 and it seems like I'm missing something.
According to posts on this forum and 'Google', BT Broadband supports ipv6. However, test-ipv6.com reports:
and 'Home/Advanced Settings/My Network' on my Smart Hub 2 setup has no 'ipv6 Configuration' tab to play with.
Is there something I need to do to get ipv6 enabled?
Thanks
DW
I don't use the Smarthub with my Fibre 500 and I had the same result as you using test-ipv6 UNTIL I enabled IPV6 on my PC's network adapter & then 10/10.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for the reply. It certainly sounded promising, but my Smart Hub connects to a Linux box which passes all the tests for having ipv6 enabled.
Maybe there's some other reason the Smart Hub thinks I don't have an ipv6 interface (I'm running a firewall on the Linux box - it might be blocking ipv6?) so it gives me a few things to look at.
Every day's a school day.
I've made some progress here.
It turns out that on my Smart Hub 'ipv6 configuration' isn't next to 'ipv4 Configuration' at 'Home->Advanced Setting->My Network', but has its own tile (I should have looked harder)
So I've fiddled with that tab and confirmed that ipv6 is present on the Hub and is enabled.
the ipv6 test is still failing but I suspect that's an issue with my firewall and/or devices so I've got stuff to work on for a while.
