Smart Hub 2 connection drop

I have had BT for years without any problem.

i have halo3 with the hybrid which has works fine for ages. Recently my hub has been flashing orange and the hybrid has jumped into life and connected. 

if I restart the hub all returns to normal. If I don’t restart the hub it stays on the hybrid for ages before it reverts to the hub connection. 

I contacted bt and they had a look and said I had Wi-Fi congestion. They sent me another Wi-Fi disc which I installed. I  was also told to do a factory reset if the hub which I did. They said there was nothing wrong with my line. 

All was fine for a couple of weeks and then it started doing it again. I only have about 13 devices connected and it doesn’t seem to do it when there is high demand. It just seems to do it randomly.

i would love to fix this issue as it is driving me bonkers

It cannot possibly be a WiFi congestion problem as the only thing changing to resolve the problem is the broadband connection, ergo it is a line problem.

I have 3 devices connected by Ethernet cable and the rest on Wi-Fi
