Smart Hub 6 Ethernet connectivity

Hi folks, got a Smart Hub 6 today activated with no issues and all that shiz, then the I ran into and ethernet issue.

So I connect my xbox one x to it using a network cable and expected everything to be fine... No IP, tried to set an static IP but nothing that gave me the impression the ethernet ports are disabled.

My laptop connects via ethernet with no issues..

Backed up the config and factory reset the router/hard rebooted the xbox but the issue persists.

Completely at a loss as to the issue as connectivity to wifi is perfect.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Did you turn off smart setup in the hh6?

Really odd as it appears that its only the xbox one x that fails to connect...

Morning, thanks for the advice, tried that, booted the xbox issue persists, turned off WiFi on it but was still unable to connect to network..

Gonna factory reset the Xbox tonight.. see if that clears, if the issue persists then it's contacting BT I think..

Been doing a bit of digging and it may actually be linked to the UPNP on the router, its been advised to disable this.

I will sort this tonight and then drop the xbox into the DMZ.

Is it the smart hub 2 that you have?

I Believe its the 6... the one without the big circle in the middle 😛

To confirm it is the Smart hub in that case 🙂
